食品摂取頻度・摂取量法と7日間秤量記録法の比較

Abstract

A Food frequency and amount questionnaire (FAQ) to ask food intake of weekly frequencies and amounts for eleven food groups and three dishes per meal was developed to assess usual dietary intake. Repeatability and relative validity compared to 7-day diet record with weighing as reference method were evaluated. Twenty female students participated in this study. The FAQ was conducted twice in a week interval (FAQ-1 and FAQ-2) in October or November of 1992. Each participant recorded her diet for seven consecutive days that corresponded to the period FAQ-2 asked. The nutrition intake in FAQ was estimated using multiple regression equations.

  1. Spearman correlation coefficients of weekly frequencies between FAQ-1 and FAQ-2 were more than 0.40 in twenty-eight of forty-one food groups. Spearman correlation coefficients of amounts between two FAQs were more than 0.40 in nineteen of forty-one food groups.
  2. In general, participants who selected highly level of food amounts in FAQ consumed more foods in 7-day diet record.
  3. Mean values of most nutrient intakes estimated using FAQ-2 were similar to those obtained from 7-day diet record. Pearson correlation coefficients of nutrient intake between FAQ-2 and 7-day diet record were high for calcium, vitamin C, retinal, sugar and vitamin B2 , but relatively low for total energy, protein and fat. These results showed the possibility to evaluate usual dietary intake using FAQ . The use of FAQ in population-based epidemiological studies should be further investigated.
