Center for Nutritional Epidemiology and Policy

The Centre for Nutrition Epidemiology and Policy Research conducts nutrition research, mainly using epidemiological methods, in order to clarify the impact of diet and nutrition on health. We use the National Health and Nutrition Survey and other surveys to assess the current nutritional status, dietary behavior and related health status of the Japanese population, and conduct research to promote health and nutrition policies in Japan. The center aims to provide, disseminate and implement the scientific evidence on diet, nutrition and health at individual, population and environmental levels.
